Early College Credit Program
The Altus Schools’ Early College Credit program is a FREE and PERSONALIZED opportunity for Altus students to earn college credit while pursuing their high school diploma.
An Articulated Course at Altus Schools is a high school course that qualifies for college credit. When students complete one of the ten articulated courses we offer with a grade of B or higher, it will count for both High School and College Credit!
Benefits:
- Explore different career pathways and college courses in the safe, supportive setting of our school
- Reduce time and costs to complete a college degree or certification
- Get a jump start on your future plans for free!
- Gain confidence and self-assurance by successfully completing a college-level course
The College Dual Enrollment Program at Altus Schools provides opportunities for high school students to take college courses for college credit while completing high school coursework. College courses may be taken on a college campus or online.
Why Dual Enrollment?
- Boost your GPA by earning extra GPA points in college classes
- Improve your self-confidence, self-image, and self-advocacy skills
- Explore career options and your chosen career pathway
- Expand your course options
- Access college courses and college resources
- Easily transition from high school to college when you graduate
Considerations:
Altus students will need to be approved for their college dual enrollment course by their teacher, counselor, and guardian. Remember, college courses are completed in addition to high school coursework, and students will need to demonstrate that they can balance both at the same time.
